Kevin De Bruyne will fly out to Barcelona to receive treatment on his ankle injury.
According to the Times, Manchester City are being cautious with De Bruyne and his ankle injury, which occurred during this summers Euros.
De Bruyne is not the only City player who will miss the first few games of the season through injury. As per the report, Phil Foden will miss the first month of the Premier League with a foot problem.
The Belgian international was stellar last season for City as the Manchester giants claimed their fifth Premier League title as well as reach the UEFA Champions League final.
Yet problems were again an issue for the 30-year-old playmaker. De Bruyne came off in the European final with a face injury. Whilst his aforementioned Euro campaign was also problematic.
Indeed, with De Bruyne set to miss the opening games of the season, the former VfL Wolfsburg star will be a huge miss.

Moreover, Pep Guardiola’s start to the season sees the reigning champions face off against Tottenham, Leicester City and Chelsea in three of their opening six Premier League games.
But on social media, supporters believe that De Bruyne having some time off will do the midfielder good in the long term.
