Speaking to Kyodo News, Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino has admitted that he doesn’t know where he’ll be playing his football next season.

The Japanese forward has been spending the second half of this season out on loan at Southampton, and while he’s expected to return to Anfield at the end of the season, he doesn’t know what his long-term future holds.

“I am focusing on the present and what I can do now. I’m a footballer so I don’t know where I’ll be playing in six months’ time, but I want to be playing at a high level,” Minamino said.

Liverpool are reportedly planning a mass clear-out this summer, but Minamino hasn’t been linked with an exit.

Perhaps another loan move could be on the cards for the Japan international, but at the age of 26, you’d be hoping that the former RB Salzburg man would be entering his prime at this point.

As Minamino says, we don’t know what the future holds for him at Anfield, but Jurgen Klopp will certainly have a decision to make on his player at the end of the season.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months if you’re a Liverpool fan and also if you’re a Southampton fan.
