Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been quoted by Italian outlet CMW as saying he does not know if he will sign a new contract with the Old Lady – amid new reports that Arsenal are showing interest in the left-footed Frenchman.
Rabiot, 27, has been a regular for Juventus this season – but the Old Lady are struggling. Max Allegri watched his side suffer a 2-0 loss to AC Milan on Saturday. Since joining Juventus in 2019, he has clocked up 136 league and cup games.
He has missed five of Juve’s seven games this season – but four due to injury, and one to suspension. When available, he plays. But he might not be at Juventus for much longer, with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
TuttoJuve report that Arsenal are keen on signing the 29-time France international, on a possible free transfer. Asked if he will sign a new contract at Juventus, Rabiot left the door open – simply saying he does not know about his future.

“Renewal? I don’t know. Right now there are other things to think about, I’m focused on the pitch and doing well. We want to get out of this difficult period, then we’ll see what happens,” Rabiot said, as quoted by CMW.
Rabiot does not know if he will sign contract amid Arsenal reports
Arsenal need a midfielder, no question. They need a player that can fit into the system. One that can score the odd goal, but also be defensively sound. Basically, they need cover for Granit Xhaka in the middle of the park.
Thomas Partey has Albert Sambi Lokonga and Mo Elneny as back-up. Martin Odegaard has Fabio Vieira. But there is not another version of Xhaka in Arsenal’s midfield. Is Rabiot that man? Perhaps. But he earns £175,000 a week.
That is an expensive wage and given he is about to become a free agent, he will be looking for more cash. So, if Arsenal are to pursue a midfielder – Rabiot is not the one. On current form, he would only be back-up to Xhaka.
