Injuries have been an underlining theme for Naby Keita ever since his arrival at Liverpool, but the Guinea international has managed something quite incredible over the past few days.
The former RB Leipzig star featured in all three of Guinea’s fixtures during the international break. Moreover, Keita took part in these games which happened in a span of six days.
Given the midfielder’s track record with injuries, it seems almost impossible to comprehend Keita playing three games consecutively for Guinea, let alone in a period of six days.
Yet happen it did. And what is more, Keita completed the October international break with Guinea with no fresh injury concerns. With Liverpool facing Watford on Saturday, this is refreshing news.
Indeed, Keita has impressed this campaign. The midfielder has only missed a handful of games to injuries, and whenever the 26-year-old has featured, he has usually performed well.
And with the Guinea star returning from international duty injury-free, Keita play against the Hornets this weekend at Vicarage Road.
