Roy Keane told Super Sunday on Sky Sports (07/02/21 at 1:10 pm) that those who thought Tottenham were going to win the Premier League title ‘don’t have a clue about football’.
Prior to Manchester City’s win at Liverpool on Sunday, Sky pundit Graeme Souness was urging Micah Richards to tell the viewers that the Premier League title is his former club’s to lose rather than sitting on the fence.
Richards was relectuant to do so and tell the views that Man City will become champions because of how the league has been going this season.
The former Man City defender mentioned that, at one point, Tottenham were being backed for the title yet look at their position now.
But Keane issued his typical response to those who even thought that the North London outfit were going to be title-winners.
Richards said: “Look at Spurs, look at Spurs. When they were top of the league everyone was saying ‘they were going to win the league’.”
Keane interrupted and asked: “Who said they were going to win the league?”
Richards responded and said: “We were all talking like they were going to win the league.”
Keane then added: “Spurs, no. People who don’t have a clue about football.”

Well, the Premier League leaders, who were seven points clear of the champions heading into the Anfield showdown, sent a clear message to all with their 4-1 win.
It’s pretty obvious that it is Man City’s to lose now and only their own capitulation will allow others to beat them to top spot.
For others, the focus will be on those European places because it’s pretty jam-packed near the top and some big hitters might end up missing out on European football altogether this term.
