Arsenal supporters have reacted on Twitter to Mikel Arteta’s update on Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey.
Both have been out of action for Arsenal in recent weeks, but it seems they are closer to a return, one more than than the other.
Ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League tie with Benfica tonight, Arteta told his pre-match press conference that Partey hasn’t travelled to Rome and is training individually.
Whilst their influential and popular left-back is part of the squad that has travelled.
The news about the latter has clearly excited the Arsenal faithful, but some have urged Arteta to be cautious.
Whilst tonight’s clash is an important showdown, the long-term factor needs to be looked at and some fans want Tierney to truly prepare for Manchester City at the weekend.
Not only that, they also have a second leg to be played and a crucial final run-in to the Premier League where they are pushing for those top-seven spaces.
