Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Football London revealed that Arsenal had bid for Leicester’s James Maddison.
What’s the story?
Firstly, you might be wondering why this concerns Tottenham.
Well, Football London are claiming that an unnamed London club have also made the same offer for Maddison – it could potentially be Spurs.
Arsenal have submitted a player-plus-cash deal for the 24-year-old.
The exact sum is not mentioned, nor is the player on offer.
Leicester want over £60m for their No.10, which would see them receive more than triple the £20m spent when signing him from Norwich in 2018.
Surely it isn’t Tottenham

In our view, the mystery London club isn’t Tottenham.
Spurs already have a number of attacking midfield options, such as Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele.
Additionally, Nuno Espirito Santo doesn’t really use a No.10 like Maddison.

Should Nuno adopt the 3-4-3 system he used quite often at Wolves, there wouldn’t be a natural position for someone like Maddison.
Furthermore, it would be a lot of money to spend on a luxury signing, when areas such as right-back and centre-back still need reinforcements.
For now, let’s see what the Tottenham fans have been saying about the slim chance it could be their club going for the 1-cap England international…
