Ben Foster has told BBC Radio 5 Live (07/10/20 at 8:35 pm) that he never wants Bukayo Saka to change after he was left amazed by the Arsenal man’s unfiltered response on how he reacted to his England call.

The 19-year-old is set to make his England debut against Wales in an international friendly tonight and Saka shared how when he took his phone off airplane mode, he was left ‘frozen’ when he saw the message about his debut England call and was then slapped across the head by teammate Alexandre Lacazette because he didn’t move for five minutes, as quoted by the Metro.

It has been some rise for Saka, who last season was breaking into Arsenal’s first-team set-up by producing the goods in the Europa League before he was trusted with regular game time in the Premier League as the season wore on.

Watford goalkeeper, Forster, who came up against the versatile attacker twice last season, labelled Saka as ‘class’ and stated that he could listen to him talk all day long.

“First of all, it’s class, isn’t it [Saka’s interview on his England call-up],” Foster told BBC Radio 5 Live. “I could listen to that kid talk all day long.

“There is no filter. It’s all just natural. It spurts out of his mouth. And that’s what people want to hear. It’s class. Don’t ever, ever change Bukayo, please.”

This is a proud moment for Saka and he will now set his sights on impressing Gareth Southgate and showing him that he’s worthy of a ticket to next summer’s European Championships.

There is a serious amount of talent on show and Saka’s versatility may become useful, especially his ability to play at left-back.

Ben Chilwell is England’s main man in that spot, but when he was injured for the previous set of international fixtures, right-back Kieran Trippier was the one utilised in that position.
