Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been reacting to the BBC’s report about Roma showing an interest in Douglas Luiz.
The Serie A outfit are in the market for a new midfielder this summer, having reportedly tracked Arsenal’s Granit Xhaka for quite some time, but after their bid for the Swiss international was rejected, they’ve turned their attentions to Luiz.
As you can imagine, their interest in the Villa midfielder has sparked something of a reaction amongst the fanbase at Villa Park, and it’s fair to say they’re not open to the idea of selling the Brazilian.
Indeed, fans on social media made it very clear that they don’t want Luiz sold to Roma, and to be fair, we can understand why.
At the age of just 23, Luiz has a lot of room to grow, and the fact that he’s already a Brazil international shows you just how talented he is.
Whether or not Luiz moves to Roma remains to be seen, but if he does go, It certainly won’t go down well with the fanbase.
