Paul Merson has written on SportsKeeda that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag should not include Cristiano Ronaldo in the starting lineup against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at Old Trafford in the Premier League today.
The former Arsenal star believes that Ten Hag should not change his starting lineup to accommodate Portugal international forward Ronaldo against Arsenal.
The Sky Sports pundit believes that keeping the same team would enhance Manchester United’s chances of picking up all three points against the Gunners.
However, Merson has said that the match will end in a 1-1 draw, adding that he would be shocked if Arsenal manage to win against the Red Devils.

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “I don’t think Cristiano Ronaldo will get into the starting lineup for Manchester United this week. They’re confident as a team, and they’re hard to beat. They’ve got two clean sheets, and it all starts from the front.
“Fair play to Erik ten Hag! They’re completely different from what they were against Brentford – that’s what top managers do.
“It’s hard to tinker with a team when you’ve won three on the trot, and I don’t see Casemiro starting this game.
“It would be unfair to the player as well if Man United lose on Sunday. Don’t change anything that isn’t broken. I’d go with the same eleven this weekend.”
Merson added: “If Man United win this game, they’re into the Premier League top four. Four wins on the trot and everybody goes, ‘Wow! Look at them!’ I’d be quite shocked if Arsenal won this game.”

In our opinion, the Premier League match between Manchester United and Arsenal today will be very exciting.
Arsenal have been arguably the best and most exciting team to watch this season, while United are starting to get into some form and are winning matches at the moment.
The Old Trafford faithful will be right up for this match, and we could some some brilliant goals and very good football.
