Jose Enrique has said on Twitter that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool need not sign Timo Werner from Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The former Liverpool star believes that Chelsea attacker Werner is a good player, but he does not think that the Reds need to sign the Germany international forward because they have enough players upfront.
Football Insider reported last week that Liverpool are planning a move for Werner, who earns £270,000 per week as salary at Chelsea (The Sun).
Liverpool wanted to sign the 26-year-old back in the summer of 2020, but he moved to Chelsea from RB Leipzig instead, as reported by Sky Sports at the time.

Liverpool need not sign Chelsea’s Timo Werner
In our view, Liverpool should not waste their money on signing Timo Werner from Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
Just like Enrique, we do not think that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners need Werner.
Now, of course, Sadio Mane has left for Bayern Munich, and Werner has proved to be a good player for Chelsea when he is deployed out wide.
The German is able to play down the middle, and that is a positive as well.
However, Luis Diaz has done exceptionally well for Liverpool, who signed Darwin Nunez this summer.
