Aston Villa fans have reacted to the rumours that Christian Benteke is one of a number of strikers West Brom are targeting this month.
Whilst West Brom have conceded the most goals at home from any of the teams in the top five leagues in Europe, they also have issues at the other end.
More options are needed for Sam Allardyce and someone who can come in and hit the ground running – could that come in the form of an ex-Villa striker?
The Express and Star have recently reported that Benteke is one of the names Albion have looked at to fill their void up top.
Given that Benteke wowed the supporters at Villa Park during his time at the club, they aren’t overly keen on him joining.
It does look unlikely, at this stage, but anything is possible during the winter transfer window because of the panic and unpredictability it brings.
Even if Benteke doesn’t join, the Baggies already have some ex-Villa men on their books, including academy product Callum Robinson and their most recent purchase, Robert Snodgrass.
