‘Don’t believe this’: Some Arsenal fans react to comments from Spurs player ahead of NLD

Arsenal fans on Twitter have expressed their thoughts after Tottenham defender Eric Dier hailed Mikel Arteta as ‘the most exciting young manager in Europe’, as he told Sky Sports.

Well, usually, this would be high praise. But the Arsenal fans fully understand what the Tottenham man is doing.

Given that the North London derby is set to be played at the weekend, and Arsenal are struggling in the league, then there is nothing better than some reverse psychology.

At the end of the day, there isn’t anyone else better at it than the man in Tottenham’s dugout…Jose Mourinho.

And it seems as though his players are now rubbing off on his mind games.

Well, a selection of Arsenal fans aren’t taking Dier’s comments seriously because he’s a rival player and the Gunners are actually struggling under Arteta’s stewardship.

Either way, it does seem as though the fun and games have started ahead of table-toppers Tottenham facing their bitter rivals at the weekend.

But before all that, they must compete in the Europa League on Thursday night.
