Speaking on the Tottenham Fan Chris Cowlin YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge has claimed that Spurs could move for Youri Tielemans later in the transfer window.
The Belgian midfielder had long been linked to Arsenal, but after the Gunners added Fabio Vieira to their ranks, that trail seems to have gone cold.
Spurs are thought to be in the market for a playmaking midfielder. After all, they’ve been strongly linked with Christian Eriksen, and Bridge has been led to believe that Tielemans could be an option in the coming weeks.

Bridge shared what he knows about Tielemans and Spurs.
“I know that in the past they liked Youri Tielemans and I know there was talk about going to Arsenal, but don’t be surprised if they have another look at him later in the window down the line,” Bridge said.
“I’m not saying there have been any bids, but I know there have always been people at the club who admire him, even back to the Poch era. Is there something they could do there? I don’t know, he’s an attack-minded midfielder that Tottenham are keen to look at.
“That is someone I have heard where you shouldn’t completely rule it out in the future, and I said I thought he was going to Arsenal, but I was told no.”
If there’s money left over
Tielemans is a fantastic player, and he would be an excellent addition for Spurs, but he shouldn’t be a priority signing for Tottenham right now.
Indeed, Spurs need a left centre-back and a right wing-back before they even think about bolstering their midfield any further.
With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Rodrigo Bentancur, Oliver Skipp and Yves Bissouma all viable midfield options next season, Spurs don’t really need to add any more depth in that area.
However, they probably could find space for a creative option, but a player like Tielemans should only be considered if there is money left over in the transfer kitty once all other targets are secured.
