Tammy Abraham has recommended to Everton’s Dele Alli to ‘not be afraid’ and move abroad, as his struggles continue after leaving Tottenham.

On Sunday, Everton suffered a 2-1 defeat to West Ham, with Alli not even coming off the bench at the London Stadium, even when Donny van de Beek got injured in the warm-up.

Alli left Tottenham waters to pick up his career on Merseyside, and somehow, he has managed to go backwards in the space of months.

Last summer, things were going wrong for Abraham at Chelsea, as he packed his bags, moved abroad and is now a record-breaker at Roma.

The England striker was asked what Alli should do given his current struggles, as he sent this clear message on talkSPORT.

“I feel like people shouldn’t be afraid to move abroad or to move away,” said Abraham. “They say ‘the Premier League is the best league in the world’. Of course, it has got top-quality.

“But don’t knock down different leagues. These leagues aren’t easy. Coming to Serie A. I never thought it would be easy. But coming to experience life away is probably the best thing I have done.

“It has given me the confidence to experience different cultures. People the way people engrave football in their skins, especially at Roma. The fans are so passionate.

“So, I recommend players shouldn’t be afraid to move out of their comfort zone. There is a bigger world out there than just England.”

There are suggestions that Everton, regardless of what happens to them this season, will part ways with Alli in the summer, as reported by TEAMtalk.

If that’s the case, then it would be a proper slap in the face to the player, who needs one of the biggest wake-up calls.

As Graeme Souness recently mentioned, the attack-minded midfielder, who was lauded during his younger days, is the ‘last chance saloon’ bracket when it comes to his career.

At this moment in time, his reputation is carrying him, but it will only take him far.
