Manchester United loanee, Donny van de Beek, has stated on Instagram that it was a ‘great second session’ for him at Everton training on Wednesday.
The Dutch midfielder thanked those at Everton for ‘making me feel so welcome’ following his deadline day move to Merseyside.
Van de Beek may have struggled for minutes at Manchester United, but it’s set to be a different story for him at Goodison Park.
With Frank Lampard at the helm, he is hoping to change the mood around Finch Farm after the morale-sapping Rafa Benitez reign.
Players like Van de Beek are the ones tasked to lift the mood at the club and he sent this message after training yesterday.
“Great second session as a blue,” said Van de Beek. “Thank you for making me feel so welcome.”
Given the lack of game time Van de Beek got at Manchester United, it’s going to be interesting to see how he now fares.
It’s hard to really gauge him as a player because he wasn’t selected enough on a consistent basis.
If Van de Beek does shine under Lampard, then it would be a win-win situation for all involved.
From helping Everton push forward, help Lampard get off to a great start, maintain or increase his value if you’re Man United and then increase his chances of playing for his parent club in the long run.
