Dave Edwards praised Leeds winger, Dan James, for his performance as Wales created history by becoming the first Welsh side in 64 years to reach the World Cup.
Wales beat Ukraine 1-0 in Cardiff to book their ticket to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar – the last time they played on the world’s biggest stage, Pele was still a teenager and Bobby Moore hadn’t even lifted the famous trophy in England colours.
Nonetheless, Leeds’ high-flying wide man turned-forward this season started for his country and played 70 minutes for Rob Page’s men.
As always, the 24-year-old was a livewire throughout the game and even got booked for telling the referee where to go in colourful language.
Nonetheless, during his duty in the Sky commentary box, ex-Wales international Edwards, stated that James had ‘done well again’ for his country, as he told Sky Sports Football.
“Dan James has done well again, I feel for Wales,” said Edwards. “He’s always been an outlet. And his end product has been better.”

WALES SET UP A WORLD CUP DATE WITH ENGLAND
Wales will now drop into Group B, alongside their neighbours England, Iran and the USA.
That all-important game against England will take place on Tuesday, November 29th at 7 pm.
So, it’s fair to say that large parts of Great Britain will be at a standstill when the two lock horns later on this year.
It’s an incredible achievement for the Welsh and it’s a chance for the likes of James to write his name into history by possibly scoring the goals or producing the moments that are remembered for a generation and beyond.
