According to Fabrizio Romano, Celtic have completed the signing of Carl Starfelt from Rubin Kazan.
What’s the story?
Well, the reliable Italian journalist has today made a huge claim.
Romano believes Celtic have wrapped up a £4.3m deal for the centre-back.
An official announcement from Celtic is expected to happen soon, and he will become Ange Postecoglou’s third summer signing.
Starfelt will join Liam Shaw and Osaze Urhoghide at Celtic Park, after agreeing personal terms on a move to Glasgow.
For such a small fee, it’s a fantastic coup for the Bhoys.
Starfelt is a full international with three caps for Sweden under his belt.
The 26-year-old also has some experience of playing in the Europa League, while he’s currently in the midst of his prime years.
Who’s next for Celtic?

Interestingly, Romano adds that Celtic will now move on to Rennes prospect Brandon Soppy.
The French club’s Sporting Director, Florian Maurice, has already offered Celtic encouragement that a deal could be done.
Maurice said Lorenz Assignon will provide competition for Rennes’ first-choice right-back Hamari Traore, which makes Soppy’s role rather redundant.

In that respect, we wouldn’t be surprised to see him joining Starfelt in Paradise very soon.
At last, it feels like things are moving forward for Celtic in the market.
