Liverpool once again ran riot at Goodison Park as the Reds secured a stunning 4-1 win against Everton, with Diogo Jota’s goal the pick of the bunch last night.
The Portuguese attacker put the nail in the coffin for the Toffees as Jota took on a cross by Andrew Robertson inside the penalty area before rifling the ball past Jordan Pickford. It was a goal of stunning power and ferocity.
Liverpool’s win, along with West Ham’s draw, increased the distance between the top three and fourth in the Premier League table. Chelsea and Manchester City were also victors last night and, for the first time in years, we have a real title race on our hands in the English top flight.
Liverpool played like a team on a mission last night. And Jota’s goal once again had supporters on social media waxing lyrical over the former Wolves star, who continues to shine for Jurgen Klopp.
The attacker now has eight Premier League goals this season, with Mohamed Salah, who bagged a brace last night, the only other Liverpool player to score more.
The 24-year-old is quickly asserting himself as a fine member of the Liverpool squad. And Jota’s goal last night was arguably one of the best the attacker has scored for the club since joining last summer.

The skill was met with widespread praise on social media from Liverpool supporters. And, just like Salah’s current form, fans are beginning to run out of words to describe Jota.
No-one could have predicted the attacker would succeed this much for Liverpool. Yet Jota’s goal against Everton was yet more proof of how incredible the Reds can be at spotting bargains in the market.
