Donald Trump has claimed that more than 100,000 people will attend a UFC event at the White House, contradicting attendance plans outlined by UFC president Dana White.

Donald Trump and Dana White have offered differing public descriptions of how many spectators will be present for the planned UFC White House card scheduled for June 14th.

The contrasting statements have drawn attention as final preparations for the one-off event in June continue.

Donald Trump claims UFC White House event will draw over 100,000 people

Donald Trump discussed the UFC event while speaking about upcoming celebrations tied to America’s 250th anniversary.

“UFC is coming, as you know, in front of the White House. They’re building literally a stadium. We’re going to have over 100,000 people.”

The comment suggested a significantly larger on-site presence than had previously been detailed by UFC officials.

Previously, Dana White had suggested that the attendance figures on the White House lawn would be closer to 5000 people.

Dana White outlines attendance plan that falls short of Trump figure

Dana White previously addressed the logistics of the UFC White House card while confirming that attendance planning had been finalized.

“It’s looking like we’ll have 5,000 people live on the White House lawn. It will be on the south lawn, and then across the street is the park, it’s called the Ellipse, I think, and we can have 85,000 people there.”

White’s breakdown places total attendance closer to 90,000 people, with no mention of a single stadium structure being constructed.

Perhaps there is some misunderstanding between the UFC President and Donald Trump over the actual plans for the massive event on June 14th.
