The Hammers won the FA Cup in 1980, their last major trophy.

Next season marks the 40th anniversary of West Ham United’s last major trophy, the 1980 FA Cup final 1-0 win over Arsenal in front of 100,000 people at Wembley Stadium.
The Hammers, who at the time were in the Second Division, triumphed over the Gunners, who had played in the previous two FA Cup Finals and were a strong First Division side, thanks to Trevor Brooking’s goal.
Next season is also the last in West Ham’s five-year deal with Umbro and, with rumours doing the rounds online suggesting that the Hammers will not renew the deal (West Ham World), there could be scope for an especially impressive kit in the pipeline.
Kit talk always gets a lot of discussion amongst a club’s fanbase but when club legends get involved it means a lot more, especially when it comes to concept kits, and Hammers icon Don Hutchison has given a metaphorical thumbs up to a concept design created by a fan on Twitter.

According to Transfermarkt, Hutchison made 99 appearances for West Ham, scoring 15 goals.
