Former Liverpool player, Don Hutchison, has welcomed the arrival of Mohamed Salah on Twitter, saying the Egyptian is a “very good signing” for the club.

Salah completed his move to Liverpool on Thursday for an initial £35 million which could rise to as much as £39 million based on add-ons, as reported by The Telegraph.

The former Chelsea winger was outstanding for Italian giants AS Roma last season, where he racked up 15 goals and 11 assists for the club. Liverpool fans will be hoping for a similar output, if not better, from the 25-year-old.

Hutchison believes that Liverpool should now turn their attention towards signing a top quality centre-forward this summer.

The Reds have already signed 19-year-old Dominic Solanke from Chelsea, but Hutchison believes Jurgen Klopp will require established and proven quality upfront.

With Daniel Sturridge facing an uncertain future at Anfield; Divock Origi not yet convincing and Danny Ings hardly remaining fit since his Liverpool move, signing a top-class striker has become top priority.

Hutchison has recommended two strikers for Liverpool to consider. He wants Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Anfield, who would cost around £63 million.

The 28-year-old, who was signed by Klopp during his time at Borussia Dortmund, scored 31 goals in Bundesliga last season.

Hutchison also wants to see Liverpool making a move for French striker Alexandre Lacazette – who is also attracting interest from Arsenal.

According to reports from The Times, the Gunners have made a club-record bid of £44 million for the striker. Liverpool will have to move quickly if they are serious about signing him.
