Don Hutchison has shared an insight into what he knows about Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer market and the possibility of signing Tottenham striker, Harry Kane.
The former Liverpool midfielder claimed that ‘from what I have been told’ Manchester United ‘haven’t got bundles of money’ to spend on Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer, as he told ESPN.
It’s obvious to all that, those from Old Trafford, who should secure a Champions League finish during the final few games of the season, need a number nine on board if they are to go to that next level.

In previous years, under Sir Alex Ferguson, they have knocked on the door for that experienced striker.
From Robin van Persie of Arsenal to Teddy Sheringham, who joined from Spurs at the age of 31 and then went on to win the treble, but Hutchison can’t see Harry Kane following that same path.
“Man United, from what I have been told, they haven’t got bundles of money,” said Hutchison. “I think their transfer budget is in around £100 million, so they need two or three players.
“They obviously need a number nine, so you would buy Harry Kane because he guarantees you 30 goals a season.
“But, can they afford him and will Daniel Levy sell to Man United? He must be so devastated that he can’t win a trophy with Spurs. He has given so many loyal years that he might be thinking ‘you know what I will give them one more try’.”

KANE WOULD TRANSFORM MAN UNITED
It’s understandable that, at the age of 29, Man United, who have spent crazy since 2013 with hardly any success, would be reluctant to throw so much money at a player of that age and someone whose contract runs out in 2024.
But, if they want to win the Premier League title and take that next step, then Kane is their guy.
The England captain can be trusted, even during Tottenham’s struggles this season, he is close to bagging 30 league goals, so whichever environment he plays in, he will cook and Man United shouldn’t hesitate in bringing him in.
