Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison seems to mock Arsenal over their reported pursuit of AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe is in demand in the summer transfer window. The performances of the 18-year-old last season were hugely impressive, and the talented teenager has been linked with a number of clubs in Europe.

According to The Independent, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Liverpool all are interested in signing the France international this summer.

Given the (reported) amount of interest in Mbappe, one suspects that Mbappe will cost a lot of money in transfer fees. Back in March, The Daily Star claimed that Monaco has slapped a price-tag of £130 million on the youngster.

Would Arsenal pay that much money to sign an 18-year-old? One would say no given the Gunners’ past history in the transfer market under manager Arsene Wenger.

The Daily Mail claimed last week that Arsenal are cooling their interest in Mbappe and are looking at alternative targets. It was reported that the North London outfit are looking to pull out of the race for the youngster.

Former Liverpool midfielder Don Hutchison, who has stated that he is a Newcastle United, appears to have mocked Arsenal on social networking site Twitter.

Hutchison has suggested on Twitter that the Gunners were never in the race to sign Mbappe this summer.
