Don Hutchison thinks Ryan Sessegnon needs to ‘liven up’ at Tottenham Hotspur because of the arrival of Ivan Perisic, as he told Premier League Productions.
Antonio Conte brought Perisic to Spurs in the summer when he arrived on a free transfer after leaving Inter Milan and Hutchison feels Sessegnon, who was signed by Mauricio Pochettino in 2019, now needs to be ‘consistent’.
Over the weekend, Spurs recorded a 2-1 win over newly-promoted Fulham, with Sessegnon returning to the XI, after Perisic was given a run in the side.

That’s Conte’s rotation policy now starting to take shape and perhaps an indicator that Perisic will start the Champions League tie against Marseille on Wednesday night.
From now, up until the World Cup starts in November, those teams in the Champions League, are going to have midweek game after midweek game.
That’s where Tottenham’s depth comes into play, as Hutchison praised Sessegnon for his performance at the weekend, but warned he now needs to step up.
“Sessegnon played well,” said Hutchison. “He has got to a point in his career now where he is thinking ‘Perisic is coming in. I need to liven up. And I need to be consistent’.”

PERISIC PERFECT PLAYER FOR SESSEGNON
When Sessegnon was a fresh-faced teenager at Fulham, he was long linked with Spurs, before eventually making that move in 2019.
Since then, the versatile English player has found himself in the treatment room more than the actual pitch which hasn’t helped his development.
But since Conte has walked through the doors at Hotspur Way, he has played on a more consistent basis and this could be a game-changing season for the player.
Added with it all, Sessegnon has one of the best players to learn off in Perisic, who can help the England hopeful take his game to the next level.
