West Ham have confirmed the signing of Javier Hernandez on Monday.

West Ham have completed arguably their most exciting addition of the summer after securing the move of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Hammers have been very busy since last week, and completed three excellent signings in addition of Pablo Zabaleta who joined on a free transfer earlier this summer.

Joe Hart joined the club from Manchester City on a season-long loan deal, while the club smashed their transfer record to bring Marko Arnautovic from Stoke City.

However, it is the signing of Hernandez that has kept the fans, pundits and former players buzzing about on social media platforms.

Former West Ham player and now turned football pundit, Don Hutchison has expressed his reaction on Twitter, saying the Mexican is a “brilliant signing” for the club.

The 29-year-old has signed a three year deal at the London club. He is best known for his time at Manchester United where he scored 59 goals in 157 games.

Popularly known as Chicharito, the Mexican is also the highest goal-scorer for his country with 46 goals to his name in 96 appearances.
