Newcastle United fan Don Hutchison is disappointed to see Sunderland get relegated from the Championship to League One.

Newcastle United fan Don Hutchison has stated on social networking site Twitter that he is gutted that Sunderland have been relegated from the Championship.

Sunderland’s 2-1 defeat to Burton Albion at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon has confirmed their drop from the Championship.

The Black Cats have now suffered back-to-back relegation, having dropped down from the Premier League at the end of last season.

Hutchison played for Sunderland in 2000-01, and the former Scotland international midfielder, who is a Newcastle fan, has stated on Twitter that he is disappointed that the Black Cats have gone down to League One.

The former Liverpool and West Ham United midfielder has also stated his desire to see both Newcastle and Sunderland in the Premier League.

Newcastle have pretty much secured their place in the Premier League for the 2018-19 campaign.

As for Sunderland, the Stadium of Light faithful will hope that the team bounce straight back into the the Championship.
