The Black Cats’ disappointing run of form in the Premier League continued on Saturday afternoon, as they went down 4-1 to the Gunners at home.
Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud scored twice each for the visiting Arsenal, while Jermain Defoe found the net for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
Former Sunderland midfielder Hutchison has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the defeat for David Moyes’s side.
The former Scotland international has also criticised 27-year-old central defender Lamine Kone for poor defending during Sanchez’s first goal.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light on Saturday afternoon, hosts Sunderland had just 34% of the possession, took three shots of which one was on target, and failed to earn a single corner, according to BBC Sport.
The Black Cats are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just two points from 10 matches.
Sunderland will take on Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League next weekend.
