Simon Grayson has left Preston North End to take charge of Sunderland.

Don Hutchison has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland appointing Simon Grayson as their new manager.

Sunderland have appointed Grayson as their new boss on a three-year contract, as announced on the Black Cats’ official website.

The 47-year-old has left Preston North End to take charge of Championship rivals Sunderland, who got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Former Sunderland midfielder Hutchison has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Black Cats appointing Grayson as their new manager.

Sunderland are a big club and have a loyal fanbase, and the Black Cats will be aiming for automatic promotion back to the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.

The Black Cats, though, need to make some good signings in the summer transfer window in order to make the squad competitive.

It is going to be hard for Sunderland, but the Stadium of Light faithful should be optimistic of a successful 2017-18 campaign.
