The West Brom winger has been outspoken as always, although the former Liverpool man isn’t impressed.

Don Hutchison is not impressed with West Brom winger James McClean and his comments about Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Indeed, McClean is quoted by the Guardian among many others as calling Liverpool head coach Klopp ‘a bit of an idiot’ after West Brom’s 2-2 draw with the Reds at the weekend.

McClean was referring to the German’s post-match antics, when he refused to shake Tony Pulis’s hand and ended up trying to unite players and fans at the final whistle – with a gesture that looked distinctly like celebrating the 2-2 draw (even if that wasn’t the ultimate aim).

But former Liverpool man Hutchison feels the Baggies winger should simply stick to playing football and has compared the episode to McClean’s goading of Sunderland fans a few weeks ago.

On that occasion, McClean celebrated a West Brom win over his old club vociferously in front of the Sunderland fans.

It seems the 26-year-old will look to make headlines in any way he can, then, and, while West Brom fans may be taking a liking to him, Sunderland and Liverpool supporters will already likely be fed up of seeing his name in the press.
