Don Hutchison has claimed on Twitter that he expects a big club to sign Shakhtar Donetsk superstar Mykhaylo Mudryk in the next 18 months – amid reports Everton and Arsenal are interested in the playmaker and have made an offer.
Mudryk, 21, produced a stunning performance for Shakhtar on the biggest stage on Tuesday night. Taking on German side RB Leipzig away from home, Shakhtar and Mudryk secured a brilliant 4-1 win. Mudryk scored for Shakhtar.
Not only that, but he also laid on two assists for the Ukraine champions. A wonderful performance, result, and story. It comes after reports towards the end of the summer window that Everton had made a £25million bid for Mudryk.
Arsenal are also said to be showing interest in the young playmaker. Now, ex-Everton midfielder Hutchison took to Twitter after his performance on Tuesday night. He says he expects Mudryk to join a big club in the next 18 months.
Hutchison expects club to sign Mudryk: Arsenal and Everton interested
Mudryk looks an incredible talent. A player with enormous potential, attacking versatility, intensity, creation and passion. He has speed, strength, and huge end product. He has 15 goal involvements in just 30 games for Shakhtar.
Indeed, reports says Everton, Arsenal and Brentford are all tracking the Champions League star. But having failed to sign him in the summer, his value is only going to increase as he shines in the Champions League for Shakhtar.
The Premier League clubs looking at Mudryk will have to move quickly or face a bigger club come into the race for him. It might be that a January move is on the cards, especially if Shakhtar are knocked out of their group stage.
