Don Hutchison has stated on social networking site Twitter that Manchester City defender John Stones was too good for his then teammates at Everton.
The former Everton midfielder has included Stones in his Manchester United-Manchester City Combined XI.
The 22-year-old, who can play as a centre-back or as a right-back, joined City from the Toffees in the summer transfer window.
According to BBC Sport, the Citizens had to pay the Merseyside outfit a transfer fee of £47.5 million in order to secure the services of the England international.
Former Liverpool and West Ham United midfielder Hutchison has praised Stones on Twitter.
The former Scotland international has suggested that the youngster was too good for his now ex-teammates at Everton, and that he was mis-managed by the club’s then manager Roberto Martinez.
Stones has played well for City so far this season and has established himself in the starting lineup.
The former Barnsley defender will face a stern test in the Manchester derby on Saturday afternoon.
