Lookman came off the bench during Everton’s loss to Manchester United.

Don Hutchison has urged Everton manager Marco Silva to give Ademola Lookman more of a chance on Twitter after the youngster came on for the final third of Sunday’s loss to Manchester United.

In an enthralling encounter at Old Trafford, Everton were unlucky to come away with a defeat to Jose Mourinho’s men with both Jordan Pickford and David De Gea producing a number of top saves to deny both sides’ attackers.

Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial put United 2-0 up before a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty brought Everton back into the match, but the Toffees failed to capitalise, with the score remaining at 2-1.

Former Everton captain Hutchison believes Silva has got to give former Charlton and RB Leipzig loanee Lookman a run of matches in the starting line-up after impressing off the bench.

Lookman went on loan to Leipzig last summer, scoring five goals and creating four more in just 11 appearances. Throughout the summer, Leipzig were more than open over their desire to bring him to Germany permanently.

Sky Sports even reported in August that Leipzig had tabled a bid of £25million for Lookman, which was seemingly turned down by Everton. This season, though, he has managed just 142 minutes of first-team action.

Silva could look to start Lookman on Saturday as Everton play host to Brighton at Goodison Park, in a match the Toffees will be looking to win.
