Liverpool have a new left-back and their former player clearly rates him.
Former Liverpool player Don Hutchison has given his assessment of new Reds defender Andrew Robertson after being asked about the 23-year-old on Twitter.
Liverpool signed the left-back from Hull City for an initial fee of £8million that could rise to £10million (as reported by the BBC) and the player’s arrival finally solves a problem Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has had since he first took charge.

Having seemingly been unimpressed by Alberto Moreno, Klopp opted to play James Milner out of position for much of the last campaign, and while the experienced midfielder did well it was no surprise to see Robertson arrive earlier this month.
Writing about the former Hull man, Hutchison said, “I watched him years ago and thought the kid is excellent. He had a difficult season last season. (I) hope the kid kicks on.”
Robertson played 39 times for Hull last season, scoring one goal and providing three assists in the process, and while he was unable to help the Tigers avoid relegation there is no doubting his innate talent.
Still years from his peak, the 23-year-old could be a brilliant long-term investment for Liverpool and he will now be looking forward to making an impact not just domestically but also in the Champions League.
Klopp’s side kick off the new Premier League season with a trip to Watford on 12 August but before that he has three more friendlies to fine tune his team.
