Liverpool and Manchester City are the clear favourites for the Premier League title this season, whilst Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to secure another season in the Champions League.

Don Hutchison has claimed on Twitter that only Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld would get into Liverpool’s or Manchester City’s team.
For the past two seasons, Pep Guardiola’s City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have been the standout teams in England’s top-flight, with Spurs potentially being the third best.
Last season, all three teams fought hard in the Champions League, with Mauricio Pochettino masterminding his team over a two-legged win against City, but they were then beaten by Liverpool in the final in Madrid.
Whilst supporters may question the lack of depth at Tottenham, not many would question their starting XI when everyone is fit and firing, but former midfielder Hutchison thinks that only Alderweireld could push into either Liverpool or City’s starting XI.
Both Liverpool and City have extremely formidable squads, but it could potentially be argued that more Spurs players on their day could break into their XI’s.
Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in Europe and he would work wonders playing up front for Liverpool, but Roberto Firmino is a very underrated figure.

On the other hand, over the course of the summer, it was argued that Liverpool need that bite and creativity in the middle of the park and someone like Christian Eriksen can no doubt provide that.
As for City, they have back-up players that would make the starting XI’s of other teams, never mind what their actually starting XI is made of.
But given that Zinchenko, who is not a natural left-back, starts in that position then Danny Rose could argue that he could make the team. But just like Firmino of Liverpool, he is another underrated figure in this City team.
