Former Scotland international Don Hutchison regrets never having played for Scottish Premiership giants Rangers.
It is typically difficult to discover the identity of a mysterious ‘trialist’.
Though, thanks to Don Hutchison, we now know that his eldest son, Max, was one of a number of unknown youngsters who turned out for Rangers on Tuesday night in a pre-season friendly clash against Cambridge United.
The Gers’ Development Side sealed a thoroughly professional 2-0 win against their English opposition, with Andy Dallas and Jamie Barjonas finding the back of the net and staking their claim for a place in Steven Gerrard’s first-team plans.
But did young Max Hutchison do enough to stick around? We don’t know yet how long Don’s eldest offspring has to impress at Rangers, or whether he will end up earning a professional contract with the Glasgow giants.
Though it seems the common consensus is that he more than held his own alongside the likes of Jamie Murphy, Glenn Middleton and Serge Atakayi.

Former Scotland international Hutchison, who played for Liverpool, Everton and West Ham as a tigerish midfielder, admitted on Twitter that not joining Rangers in 2001 was the ‘biggest regret of my career’.
