West Ham United are currently in the relegation zone.
Don Hutchison has told West Ham United’s official website he is “pretty confident” that his former club can steer clear of relegation from the Premier League this season.
West Ham are 18th in the Premier League table after 13 games but victory away to Everton tonight would see them leapfrog the Toffees into 17th position.
It has been an abysmal season for them so far as the Irons boast just one league victories all season, but there promising signs that new manager David Moyes is improving them slowly but surely.
Moyes’s first game ended in a 2-0 defeat at Watford, before drawing 1-1 with Leicester City at The London Stadium last Friday night.
The Hammers faithful were outstanding on the night, and Hutchison, who spent six years in East London across two spells, says that he has never known the supporters not to get fully behind the team.
He told the club’s official website: “I’ve been involved in relegation scraps before at West Ham, during the 1994/95 season, and the fans have always stuck by us, we appreciated this so much and I’m sure they will do the same.
“I’m pretty convinced that West Ham can get out of this but they’re going to need to start doing it quickly.”
