Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side would reportedly only have to pay £400,000 to bring Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke to Glasgow.

According to a report in the Daily Record, Celtic could complete a deal for Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke for just £400,000.
Due to contractual rules, English clubs would have to pay around £8 million to snap up the youngster from Stamford Bridge.
But Celtic are free to sign Solanke at the fraction of the cost, and he would surely go down as a huge bargain for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Celtic arguably pulled of the best piece of business in Britain last season, when they snapped up Moussa Dembele for a cheap price from Fulham.
Dembele has gone on to smash goals aplenty in his first season at Celtic, and his value has shot up to around the £30 million mark (Daily Mail).

And Solanke’s move would have the potential to be another money spinning transfer for the Bhoys, if it comes about.
The youngster is considered to be one of the brightest English talents coming through, and will be tracked by a host of clubs during his time at Celtic.
If he is as successful as Dembele, then Solanke’s stay with Celtic may not be a particularly lengthy one.
But his arrival will unquestionably improve Rodgers’ attacking options, and he could go on to net the Glasgow club a vast amount of profit – making the move look like a no brainer for Rodgers’ side.
