Th Real Madrid forward would be a wonderful acquisition for Liverpool.

Liverpool legend Dominic Matteo urged Jürgen Klopp to bring Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale to Anfield this summer, when speaking exclusively to the Express.

The Reds are already a wonderfully exciting attacking force, but it could be argued that they are missing that little bit of extra magic when it really matters in the big games.

And Bale, 29, could be just the ticket for Liverpool.

The Wales international faces an uncertain future at Real Madrid, and he might be made available in the summer, especially if Zinedine Zidane embarks on his expected spending spree at the end of the season.

And Matteo, who made over 150 appearances for Liverpool, urged Klopp to bring the Madrid ace to Anfield in the summer, when speaking exclusively to the Express:

“We certainly wouldn’t say no. It would be a big signing. If he was coming back to England, I’m sure that everyone would take him. With Bale, when Madrid beat Liverpool in the final, he had that bit of X factor. Liverpool could maybe do with one more X factor player to score in the finals. That’s what we’ve lacked that bit of X factor to get us over the line.”

Despite receiving criticism from Madrid fans recently, Bale has still racked up really impressive numbers during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, with 102 goals and 63 assists in 224 appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos.

And the Welshman would undoubtedly be a superb addition for Liverpool.
