Leeds United hero Dominic Matteo took to Twitter to comment on the Whites’ emphatic 3-0 win over Norwich City which saw the club move back to the top of the Championship on Saturday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side dropped points for the first time this season in their previous contest, coming from behind on two occasions to earn a point at Swansea, and they would have been hoping to get back to winning ways with Middlesbrough knocking them off top spot in the second tier with their last-gasp win over West Brom on Friday night.

It was a nervy start from the visitors at Carrow Road – perhaps leading some fans to fear that Norwich’s attempt to unsettle away sides by painting their dressing room pink was actually a masterstroke – but Leeds soon found their stride and took control.

Mateusz Klich continued his incredible run of form by breaking the deadlock, while Gjanni Alioski recovered from a slow start to quickly double Leeds’ lead from an incredibly tight angle.

The exclamation point was put on Leeds’ win at the midway point in the second-half as Pablo Hernandez curled a sumptuous effort into the bottom corner to make the points safe.

It turned into another dominant performance from the Whites and they go into Friday’s league clash with Boro ahead of Tony Pulis’ men on goal difference, while the chasing pack are already three points back.
