Everton picked up a fine win on Wednesday night as they beat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road.
The Toffees took the lead through Gylfi Sigurdsson, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin added a second for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
Raphinha did haul Leeds back into the game, but the Whites couldn’t find an equaliser despite major pressure on the Everton goal.
After losing at home to Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, Everton needed to hit back – and did so with a battling display.
The win will have been a major boost for Everton players, but especially for striker Calvert-Lewin as he ended his Premier League goal drought.
The 23-year-old hadn’t hit a Premier League goal since scoring against Burnley on the 5th of December, going seven league games without finding the net.

Calvert-Lewin was back in the goals last night, and as a Sheffield United boy, he would have no doubt loved scoring against Leeds.
He took to Twitter on Wednesday night to celebrate, posting just five words as he stated ‘that’s how you bounce back’, referring mostly to hitting back after the Newcastle defeat, but also possibly on a personal level after his goalscoring problems of late.
