Dominic Calvert-Lewin praises Everton’s Theo Walcott

Everton brought in Theo Walcott from Arsenal and he has made a very bright start at Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has told Everton’s official website that he has already been impressed by Theo Walcott’s quality.

Walcott was brought to Everton from Arsenal during the January transfer window, and he has made a bright start at Goodison Park.

The rapid winger has scored twice in three games, and also claimed an assist.

Although Everton were beaten 5-1 by Arsenal on their last outing, Walcott was one of the few players who managed to avoid criticism.

And Calvert-Lewin says that he is looking forward to teaming up with the England international forward.

“You can see the quality Theo has. I certainly can,” Calvert-Lewin said.

“I have not yet had the chance to start next to him but it is something I am looking forward to.

“He brings pace and creativity and as a striker [playing with him] that is all you can ask for.”

Calvert-Lewin and Walcott could be used in tandem at the weekend, as the youngster came on to make a good impact against Arsenal.

Calvert-Lewin scored Everton’s goal at the Emirates Stadium, during their humiliating defeat.

The Toffees’ match this weekend comes against Crystal Palace, and they are under pressure to get back to winning ways.

Everton have been victorious just once in their last nine outings, which has increased concerns that they could be dragged back into the relegation zone.
