Dominic Calvert-Lewin has four league goals for Everton this season, just six behind club top scorer Wayne Rooney.

Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has explained how Everton favourites Duncan Ferguson and Wayne Rooney are helping him become a better player for club and country.
Calvert-Lewin said: “I work a lot with Duncan Ferguson – and after training – doing finishing drills and how to become a better player.”

Speaking to FourFourTwo earlier in the month, Calvert-Lewin also discussed the positive effects England and Everton legend Wayne Rooney has had, offering ‘little pointers’ which have improved his game.
He told FourFourTwo: “He’s [Rooney] improved my positioning and my body shape as I receive the ball. You need all the help you can get as a youngster in the Premier League, and Wayne has been a huge help to me.”
Former Sheffield United youngster Calvert-Lewin scored in his return to Bramall Lane on Tuesday, poking away James Maddison’s marvellous through ball to open the scoring for England U21s. England went on to triumph 2-1 in a crucial Euro qualifier.

After the victory, England U21s boss Aidy Boothroyd praised Calvert-Lewin’s display, labelling the youngster as ‘brave’ while praising his ‘unselfish runs’ and movement.
Calvert-Lewin has four Premier League goals to his name this season, despite intense competition from Wayne Rooney, Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse.
While Everton may lack a real sense of direction as a club, the Toffees made an extremely wise decision in tying the 21-year-old down to a new five-year contract in December, alongside fellow England prospects Jonjoe Kenny and Mason Holgate.
