Martin Keown has said on talkSPORT (12:08pm, January 21, 2022) that he does not think that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will be able to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Premier League rivals Everton in the January transfer window.
TalkSPORT have reported that Arsenal want to sign Calvert-Lewin from Everton this month.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly a big fan of the 24-year-old England international striker.
Former Arsenal star Keown does not think that the Gunners will be able to bring the striker to the Emirates Stadium this month.
Keown said about Calvert-Lewin on talkSPORT (12:08pm, January 21, 2022): “I just can’t see that happening. We are talking about this happening in the January window now.
“When you look at how perilous Everton are, they have been without him for a long period, surely they are not going to allow him to leave.”

Could Arsenal sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January?
In our view, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to sign Calvert-Lewin from Everton in the January transfer window.
Everton are struggling at the moment, and there is a chance that they could get dragged into a relegation fight.
Would the Toffees really be willing to sell one of their most important players?
Moreover, Calvert-Lewin has only just returned from injury.
It could take a while for the 24-year-old striker – valued at £60 million – to get into his rhythm.
Calvert-Lewin has scored three goals in six Premier League appearances for Everton so far this season.
The Everton striker scored 16 goals in 32 Premier League starts last season, and scored 13 goals in 39 league starts in 2019-20.
