Tottenham Hotspur’s Dominic Ball is a target for Leeds. Here’s a look at why they should push for a deal.
Dominic Ball – Tottenham Hotspur
HITC Sport understand that Tottenham Hotspur prospect Dominic Ball is a target for Leeds United, who are weighing up a loan swoop for the defender.
Ball is a bright talent, who at just 21-years-old impressed for Rangers last season, playing a key part in their promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.
Here is a look at three reasons Ball is perfect for Leeds…
Right age right fit

Leeds United need a centre-back to add to their options of Liam Cooper, Sol Bamba and Kyle Bartley.
Adding an experienced player like Joleon Lescott to be a fourth option could be problematic, but getting in a young player happy to bide his time is the right move.
Ball needs a step up after impressing in Scotland, but Tottenham deem him not quite ready for their squad battling at the top of the Premier League.
Playing for a Championship club hoping to challenge for a play-off spot is the right move for Ball.
Versatility and midfield capability

Ball can play at centre-back and add to Leeds’ options there, but he could also get chances in central midfield.
Rangers boss Mark Warburton played Ball in a defensive midfield role several times last season, and with Leeds having sold Lewis Cook, the Whites are lacking in this area.
Ball could get more chances to play, meaning Tottenham are less likely to get frustrated with Leeds if his opportunities in central defence are blocked.
Permanent chance

Leeds have always been keen on loan signings under Cellino… if there is a prospect of a permanent deal.
In this case Leeds have a strong chance, with Spurs allowing Grant Ward and Alex Pritchard to move on this summer despite showing progress on previous Championship loans.
Spurs’ standards have risen after reaching the Champions League this season, and teammate Cameron Carter-Vickers is more highly rated at the club than Ball, with chances limited behind Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld and Kevin Wimmer.
