Tottenham Hotspur have beaten Norwich City 2-0 at White Hart Lane.
Tottenham Hotspur have won comfortably against Norwich City at White Hart Lane this afternoon – in a game where Christian Eriksen shone on his debut for the club.
Goals in either half from Gylfi Sigurdsson proved enough for victory against The Canaries – in a game dominated by Spurs from start to finish.
Eriksen also had an immediate impact on proceedings. It was his clever pass that set up Sigurdsson for the opener, to which the Icelander happily applied the finish.
It was another new signing who applied the assist for the second goal. Paulinho applied the cross and Sigurdsson completed his brace just after half-time.
In reality the scoreline did not reflect the dominance of Spurs on the day – and John Ruddy denied Sigurdsson his hat-trick and a strike from Andros Townsend.
