Tottenham Hotspur’s new Managing Director of Football, Fabio Paratici, has raved about Domenico Berardi, as quoted on Gianluca Di Marzio’s official website.
Paratici, who was appointed in the role at Tottenham this summer following his departure from Juventus, has said that Berardi is “a great talent”.
The Italian has added that the 26-year-old winger was close to joining Juventus, and he is happy that he is part of the Italy squad for the Euro 2020 finals.
Tottenham Hotspur interest
Gazzetta Dello Sport reported last month that Tottenham are interested in signing Berardi from Sassuolo in the summer transfer window.
It was reported that Spurs have already lodged an enquiry into the signing of the winger.
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

What Fabio Paratici says
Paratici said, as quoted on Gianluca Di Marzio’s official website: “Berardi was very close to Juventus, but I am happy for him because we have been in contact for three years.
“We started dealing with him after a few games, he is a great talent and it would have been a shame not to be able to show him internationally.”

Domenico Berardi to Tottenham Hotspur?
Paratici is clearly a big fan of Berardi.
The Italian official wanting to sign the winger for Juventus previously outlines just how highly he is thought of.
Could a transfer to Tottenham happen this month?
Yes, it could.
Sassuolo could be tempted to sell Berardi if they get a good offer, and the 26-year-old could think that it is time to take the next step in his career.
The Italian has been at Sassuolo his entire professional club football career so far.
The Sassuolo no.25 scored 17 goals and gave seven assists in Serie A last season.
The winger scored 14 goals and gave 10 assists in the league in 2019-20.
