Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly tracking the Ajax youngster and he could be a great addition to their squad.

In a recent interview with Calcio Mercato, former Netherlands international Andy Van Der Meyde claimed Tottenham Hotspur were keeping a close eye on Kasper Dolberg, and the 20-year-old could be exactly what Spurs are looking for.
Signing more experienced strikers as back-up to Harry Kane has failed to deliver the required results thus far, with Vincent Janssen and Fernando Llorente the latest in an increasingly long line of striking duds at Tottenham. However, Dolberg is young enough to bide his time and talented enough to seize the chances that come his way.

The issue will come if he arrives but does not hit the ground running, which is to be expected of a player so young. Patience will be vital in this regard, with Dolberg’s youth and recent injury problems meaning he is always going to take time to settle in new surroundings.
Patience has not always been afforded to Tottenham’s new additions but, in this case, it will be key. The sparseness with which he could expect to feature from the outset could actually be his biggest advantage, allowing the young Dane plenty of time to get his feet under the table and make any mistakes without the glare of expectant fans.

Janssen was never cut out for English football while Llorente is better suited as the main man in a more direct side. In comparison, Dolberg is a star in the making and Tottenham would be his ideal next club.
He would not be signed as an instant hit, but as a work in progress; a potential future Tottenham superstar who could grow from Kane’s understudy to his perfect partner and ultimate successor.
