Paul Ince told Optus Sport on Premier League Productions that he feels that there is ‘something brewing’ with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Arsenal.
The former midfielder shared that he doesn’t want Aubameyang sitting on the bench ‘doing nothing’ whilst being the captain and on a high wage.
Things have gone downhill since Aubameyang penned a new big-money deal in North London and many are getting Mesut Ozil vibes with the Arsene Wenger signing.
Ince feels that a similar situation could be happening, as he urged Mikel Arteta to play both Auba and Alexandre Lacazette up top.
“I feel like there is something brewing with Aubameyang,” said Ince. “Even the fact that he was made captain this year.
“He then gets dropped (v Tottenham) because he turned up late. He’s on a massive, massive wage.
“I don’t want to see Arsenal in a situation like they were with Ozil, where he’s sat on the bench and earning the type of money that he’s earning and doing nothing.
“If you can try and get them two (Auba and Lacazette) together (upfront) then they have got that telepathy. They are best mates off the park. They have got something going there.”

Aubameyang was left out of Arsenal’s trip to Sheffield United on Sunday because of an injury.
But even if he does return to the fold for Thursday’s crucial showdown with Slavia Prague, it has to be questioned whether he should start.
If fit, many would pick Bukayo Saka ahead of the Gabon star, and even Gabriel Martinelli, who was back on the scoresheet at the weekend.
