Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to Manchester City away supporters chant on Harry Kane on Sunday.
Amid all the speculation about Man City wanting to sign Kane and him turning up late for training then it was obvious what all the talk was going to be about pre-match.
Kane wasn’t selected in the matchday squad by Nuno Espirito Santo because he only resumed ‘light training’ on Thursday and Friday.
But that didn’t stop the Man City fans in the away end chanting ‘He wants to be Blue, he wants to be Blue, Harry Kane, he wants to be Blue’.
Well, it’s probably the only thing they had to cheer and shout about because Pep Guardiola’s side fell to a deserved 1-0 defeat.
Once again, without Kane, Spurs were able to beat the Premier League champions, which isn’t bad for the ‘Harry Kane team’, eh Pep?!
Either way, Spurs supporters offered a mixed response to what they were hearing from the away supporters yesterday.
With some suggesting that they might be happy to let their star man leave as long as the Abu Dhabi-owned club cough up the money.
That’s perhaps a view that a certain Daniel Levy doesn’t agree with and it does seem as though he holds the trump cards in this.
Either way, this is a big week in this transfer saga because if Kane doesn’t feature for Tottenham – in their Europa League Conference tie and Premier League encounter against Wolves – then it will only add further fuel to the fire.
